From raw SSIM file
to insight.
SSIM Toolkit is the local workbench for airline schedule data — a desktop app that turns the IATA SSIM files you already receive into a schedule you can explore, validate, analyse, and convert. Privately, on your own machine.

The whole industry exchanges schedules in one format.
Almost no one can comfortably read it.
IATA SSIM has been aviation's common language since 1976 — a fixed-width, 200-byte flat file of densely packed codes, five record types, and dozens of optional data elements. A single file can hold millions of legs. You can't read it in a text editor, and a spreadsheet mangles its structure.
That leaves two bad options: buy into an expensive cloud data platform, or hand-roll brittle scripts. SSIM Toolkit is the third way — a fast, trustworthy, private tool for the file already in your hands.
One app. Five workflows.
Open a schedule and it becomes a living, queryable network. Five workflows are the reason the product exists; everything else supports them.
Visualise routes & schedules
See the network as a map and a graph — origin–destination flows, capacity and frequency trends, hub structure, and where carriers overlap. Turn a wall of codes into a picture.
Transform & export
Convert rigid SSIM into the formats real data work needs — CSV, JSON, and Parquet — so a schedule flows into a database, a notebook, or a warehouse. No glue scripts.
MCT connection analysis
Check whether passengers can actually make their connections at a hub, and see where timings are too tight — or where there's room to improve.
Slot & schedule deconfliction
Surface scheduling conflicts, overlapping capacity, and tight turnarounds that need attention — scoped to a real operating day, not a whole season conflated.
SQL Notebook
For power users: write read-only SQL directly against the loaded schedule and get answers in milliseconds. Export the result set with one click.
Around these sit the everyday surfaces — flights, routes, airports, aircraft, carriers, rotations, calendar — plus validation and the record inspector.

Geographic route map
Airports plotted by lat/long, sized by weekly frequency; arcs trace the served city pairs.

OD matrix
Origin–destination flows at a glance — the densest markets surfaced instantly.

MCT analysis
Every connection at a hub banded feasible / tight / below-MCT, with recovery nudges.

SQL Notebook
Read-only DuckDB SQL against the loaded schedule — results and export in milliseconds.
Private. Deterministic. Yours.
Local & private
Your schedule data runs and stays on your machine — never uploaded. (The app may use the network only for licensing and updates; your data never does.)
Deterministic
Your numbers never come from a model's guess — same file in, same answer out, reproducible and defensible. (Connect an AI assistant to ask the questions; the engine still computes the answers.)
Full-fidelity
Every field, every record type, every data element — parsed and preserved. Nothing important is silently dropped for convenience.
Fast
Engineered to stay responsive even on multi-million-leg global feeds. Analysis at the speed of thought, not the speed of a batch job.
Approachable
Aviation concepts are explained in context, with sensible defaults — so a newcomer can be productive without studying the SSIM manual.
Owned, not rented
A desktop application you install and run — not a seat on someone's platform. Self-contained, predictable, with no vendor relationship to a data feed.
Your schedules never leave your machine.
Schedules are commercially sensitive — many teams simply cannot send them to a cloud. SSIM Toolkit's data pipeline does no networking: parsing, validation, and analytics all run on-device. The app may connect for licensing or updates, but those carry none of your schedule data.
How we keep it private →Ask your schedule
anything — in plain English.
A built-in MCP server connects your AI assistant — Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf — to the toolkit in one click. Read-only, on-device, and leak-free: the assistant asks, the deterministic engine answers.
- ✓ One-click setup — the app writes the config
- ✓ Read-only — an assistant can ask, never change your data
- ✓ Optional — the toolkit is fully usable without it

Anyone who works with the file.
Schedule analysts
Explore, validate, and compare carrier feeds without reinventing a parser.
Airports & coordinators
Slot, capacity, and route-development work over the schedules you receive.
Data engineers
Get clean CSV / JSON / Parquet into the warehouse — full-fidelity, reproducible.
Consultancies & analysts
Fast, defensible answers about any schedule, on your own laptop.
Where to go next.
The full product tour
A walk-through of every surface — flights, validation, inspector, rotations, analytics — with screens from the real product.
Pricing
A per-seat team licence with a 30-day free trial. Simple bands, no data-feed subscription, no per-row metering.
